( of course he's angry. but it's never been such a terrible, towering thing that he can't still love her. that's really their fatal flaw. it doesn't matter how much they hurt each other, the love is still there. it's not as bright and fresh and new as it once was, he's learned all the things in her that are broken or bent. he knows her weaknesses and all her sundry strengths. he can look at her and know her.
